Al-Islah Mosque
Completed in 2015, the mosque is located within a densely populated Punggol new town and features a modern Islamic architecture, complementing Punggol’s green built environment. The incorporation of water features symbolises the mosque’s locality in a seaside town.
Named in remembrance of the defunct Masjid Islah in Pepys Road, off Pasir Panjang Road, Al-Islah also means “to transform and reform” in Arabic. This is the first mosque to be built in Punggol, after an old kampong mosque there, Masjid Wak Sumang located near Punggol Point along Punggol Road, made way for redevelopment in 1995.
